  19. I have a serious problem with saving AVI's.  But first, let me explain my 
  20. situation:

  22. I just got a P133 w/ NT, and I just bought Lightwave.  I just tried 
  23. making a new animation.  Now, I have Video for Windows installed (from my 
  24. B5 screen saver CDROM), and I saved my animations using the "NEWTEK AVI" 
  25. option under the RECORD menu.
  26.  
  27. However, after quitting Lightwave, I started it up the next day and when 
  28. I went to define where to save (for some reason, it did not save the 
  29. location, even though it saved the name for the animation), I get this 
  30. "Dr. Watson's" error, in which it said LIGHTWAVE.EXE addressed some 
  31. memory address, and then Lightwave crashed.  Kinda like a GPF in Win3.11.
  32.  
  33. My question is this:  How come it crashes when I try to define where to 
  34. save an animation?  Lightwave even crashes when I try to pick another AVI 
  35. format (16-bit AVI, 32-bit AVI, even the "none" option).  Why is this?  
  36. Do I have to reinstall Lightwave?  Do I have to get some NT-specific 
  37. Video for Windows?
